Need to recall an email? Sent the wrong attachment? You can recall or unsend an email by using the Outlook recall function. To recall an Outlook email, first open the Sent Items folder and locate the email you want to recall. Next right-click on it, then select “Recall This Message” from the menu. You can then choose from two options to using either delete or replace the message for all recipients. If the email recall is successful, you will receive a notification in your inbox “The recall succeeded.”
Using the Outlook recall function it's possible to recall an email in Outlook as long as it has not been read. To recall the email message, you need to open the Sent Items folder and find the email you want to recall. Right-click on it and select “Recall This Message” from the menu. You can now choose to either delete the email or replace it with a new message. You should also select the checkbox that says “Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient” - this will prevent a notification from being sent to the user that you've recalled their message. If successful, a notification will appear that states “The recall succeeded”; make sure to check before closing Outlook.
