We built a bell-shaped hinge for a seamless, fold-flat design. We expanded the OLED display to a massive 16.3″ panel that you can use horizontally or vertically—even with the detachable keyboard. This next-level X1 Fold has plenty of power too. For full-sized CPU performance, we partnered with Intel®, building on the Intel® Evo™ vPro® design.

Now with Intel® vPro® with 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, the ThinkPad X1 Fold also offers the new Intel® Visual Sensing controller, an AI-powered co-processor that makes the device smarter, more power efficient, and more secure. Intel® Evo™ laptops deliver amazing performance, immersive graphics, and consistent responsiveness—all in a thin and light device.

The XI Fold delivers seamless protection with our suite of ThinkShield Security Solutions from the moment you log in, whether it's with facial recognition using the infrared camera and Windows Hello or the secure fingerprint reader on the detachable keyboard. Optional Computer Vision human-presence detection technology alerts and blocks the display when someone looks over your shoulder—and it even locks your device if you step away. Trusted Platform Module firmware encrypts your critical data for further protection.

When you need a powerhouse to tackle demanding workloads, attach the optional full-sized ThinkPad Bluetooth TrackPoint Keyboard to the X1 Fold. The massive 16.3″ HDR OLED panel connects via portrait or landscape modes, depending on the task at hand. This keyboard also boasts an adjustable-angle kickstand to reliably support the display and comfortably accommodate your space. And, of course, for streamlined navigation, the renowned red TrackPoint and Haptic Touchpad are included—as well as a fingerprint reader for biometric security.

Fine details are easily rendered with the optional Lenovo Precision Pen with 4K pressure sensitivity and tilt detection.
