Yang Yuanqing is Chief Executive Officer and an executive director of the Company. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Board on November 3, 2011. He is also a director and a shareholder of Sureinvest Holdings Limited which holds interests in the issued share capital of the Company.
Mr. Yang holds a Master’s degree from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Science and Technology of China. Mr. Yang is also a guest professor at the University of Science and Technology of China and a member of the New York Stock Exchange’s International Advisory Committee.
Mr. Wong Wai Ming is Executive Vice President of the Company and Chief Financial Officer.
He was previously an investment banker for more than 15 years and also held senior management position in listed companies in Hong Kong. He was an independent non-executive director of the Company from March 30, 1999 until his appointment to the position of CFO on May 23, 2007.
Mr. Wong is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences from the Victoria University of Manchester, U.K.
Sergio Buniac is Senior Vice President and President of Latin America and Mobile Business Group and President of Motorola. In these roles he oversees the entire Latin America business in addition to leading Lenovo’s mobile business, including R&D, product, supply chain and the Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America and EMEA Geos.
Under Sergio’s leadership, the company has seen significant market growth in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru. Among his previous roles, Sergio led the Mobile Devices business for Latin America, and spent two years in Mexico City as the regional sales director for Americas Movil.
Before that, he spent three years in the U.S. leading the Strategic Planning and Companion Products businesses for the Americas region. Sergio previously held leadership positions at IBM and BoozAllen & Hamilton.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a postgraduate degree from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and bachelor’s in Engineering from the University of São Paulo’s Escola Politécnica.
Wilfredo Sotolongo is Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer for Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group, where his mission is to grow Lenovo’s enterprise technology leadership world-wide while empowering and building a highly skilled, diverse, and motivated team. Together with his sales, services, channel, marketing, communications, and enablement teams, he is responsible for the group’s business results and customer and partner satisfaction worldwide.
Most recently, he was head of the Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG) Internet of Things (IoT) Segment worldwide. In this role, he was responsible for selecting, developing, launching, and deploying Internet of Things (IoT) and Original Equipment Manufacturers offerings to customers and partners. This includes ownership of solutions including edge servers, IoT gateways, and associated software and services.
Before that, he was responsible for the Lenovo DCG business in urope Middle East Africa (EMEA) as well as managing the Global 500 clientele around the world. In these roles, he oversaw sales and customer satisfaction, including developing and deploying an efficient go-to-market model.
He has served in a variety of sales leadership roles. Prior to Lenovo, he led global sales for IBM’s x86 servers, during which time he created a standalone System x business which was later sold to Lenovo. He also managed the separation of this business from IBM, as well as its integration into Lenovo.
He previously held the position of North America Vice President for Business Partner and Mid-Market Sales, North America Vice President for System x Sales, and Latin America Director for Distribution and Industrial Sector Sales, all within IBM. Prior to these roles, he served in a series of leadership positions within IBM North America both in sales and in product development.
He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Kirk Skaugen is Executive Vice President and President of the Infrastructure Solutions Group, overseeing all aspects of Lenovo’s end-to-end data center business worldwide.
An industry veteran, Mr. Skaugen joined Lenovo in 2016 after 24 years at Intel where he held a variety of leadership positions. Most recently he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Client Computing Group, where he oversaw chipsets for PC, tablet, smartphone, and phablet platforms, along with new Ultrabook and 2-in-1 devices.
Before this role, he led Intel’s Datacenter and Connected Systems and Data Center groups. Mr. Skaugen holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
Yong Rui joined Lenovo in November 2016 as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. He directs Lenovo’s technical strategies and R&D directions. Additionally, Dr. Rui leads the Lenovo Research organization that investigates intelligent devices, artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud and edge computing, and smart vertical solutions.
Before joining Lenovo, Dr. Rui spent 18 years with Microsoft where he held various leadership roles in R&D strategy, basic research, technology incubation and product development, and most recently served as Deputy Managing Director of Microsoft Research Asia.
A Fellow of ACM, IEEE, IAPR and SPIE, and a Foreign Member of Academia Europaea and Canadian Academy of Engineering, Dr. Rui is world-renowned technologist. He holds 70 patents, and is the recipient of the prestigious 2018 ACM SIGMM Technical Achievement Award and 2016 IEEE Computer Society Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award.
Dr. Rui received his BS from Southeast University Summa cum laude, his MS from Tsinghua University, and his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Gao Lan joined Lenovo in 2009 and is now Senior Vice President of Human Resources (HR), responsible for human resources, organizational development, global talent, compensation and benefits, as well as nurturing the company's culture.
Prior to this, she held several vice president roles leading many teams, including Emerging Markets Group HR Partner, Asia Pacific Latin America & China HR Partner, People & Organization Capability, and HR Strategy & Operations. She was also responsible for the successful HR operations integration for the IBM x86 server and Motorola acquisitions.
She has provided strategic HR support to the business, led organization design and restructuring projects, initiated talent development programs, organized and delivered global leadership development programs, and led the culture and HR operations integration for the IBM x86 server and Motorola acquisitions.
Before joining Lenovo, she was the Vice President of Human Resources for Thomson’s Asia Pacific region, Vice President of Human Resources for Asia Gas in BP, and was Country Head of Human Resources for Novartis China and Hong Kong.
Lan holds a bachelor of science from Nankai University in China.
George He joined the Group in 1986 and is the Senior Vice President of the Company, Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group. Prior to that role he was President of the Ecosystem and Cloud Business Group, where he oversaw Lenovo's work to expand its fast growing Ecosystem business, as well as to drive innovation in software for Cloud based applications.
Previously, Mr. He served as Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for technology strategy, R&D systems and technology exploration of emerging areas. Prior to that, Mr. He held various leadership positions in Lenovo particularly in overseeing Lenovo's R&D initiatives and systems.
Mr. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Communication from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
As the Chief Information Officer for Lenovo Group, Arthur Hu is responsible for the overall delivery of information services, digital technology, and business transformation.
Mr. Hu works with the business units to drive business model transformation for more competitive capabilities, and oversees a portfolio of strategic initiatives to further strengthen internet technology (IT) management and business collaboration.
Previously, he held a series of leadership positions within the Lenovo Chief Information Office CIO team covering IT Strategy, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture and Business Transformation, and Digital Go-to-Market Solutions’ Delivery.
Prior to joining Lenovo in 2009, he was with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on high tech, strategy and technology management, and operational and strategic programs to deliver transformation impact across global organizations. Before that, he worked in software engineering at a variety of companies, including Amazon.
Mr. Hu holds both a bachelor's and master's degree of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University. A sports enthusiast, he enjoys tennis, basketball, and rollerblading.
Gina Qiao joined the company in 1990 and is Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for driving all strategy, branding, and marketing activities for Lenovo.
Prior to this, she held various senior positions in marketing, global strategy, and human resources, as well as Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group in China. Along the way, Gina has been recognized among Fortune China’s Top 25 Most Powerful Businesswomen in China and China Entrepreneur Magazine’s annual list of the Most Powerful Businesswomen in China.
She has served on the Executive Committee of the All-China Women’s Federation and earned the title of 2015 China’s National Able Women. In addition, she is the co-author of ‘The Lenovo Way: Managing a Diverse Global Company for Optimal Performance’, a global bestseller and recommended by Amazon.com as one of the best books for CEOs.
She holds a bachelor's degree in management science from Fudan University, as well as an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.
Che Min (Jammi) Tu is Senior Vice President for Global Operations, where he is responsible for driving Lenovo’s operational excellence and improving efficiency across the One Lenovo Operation by working across the numerous business groups to identify synergies and to standardize and streamline processes. Prior to this role, he was Chief Operating Officer of Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group (IDG), playing a crucial role in leading that organization to record performance.
Jammi joined Lenovo in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) region. Most recently, he led the finance team as the CFO for the Personal Computing & Smart Devices (PCSD) Group, eCommerce and Global Accounts organizations.
Before joining Lenovo, Jammi was the CFO of Acer Inc. Prior to that he held numerous leadership roles at Acer including treasury director in charge of corporate finance functions, CFO of Acer EMEA as well as special assistant to Acer’s Chief Executive Officer.
Jammi holds an MBA from the University of Manchester.
President, China Geo
Liu Jun is Executive Vice President and President of the China geography, where he is responsible for leading the China business platform and sales across all three Lenovo business groups through an integrated go-to-market strategy. He first joined Lenovo in 1993.
Prior to this role, he was President of the Mobile Business Group, responsible for driving profitable growth in smartphone and tablet, as well as developing Lenovo’s smart TV business. Before that, he held a broad range of leadership positions at Lenovo, including Senior Vice President of Lenovo, president of the Lenovo Business Group, Products Group, Consumer Business Group, Global Supply Chain, and Chief Operating Officer of Lenovo China. Lenovo’s famous Dual Model (transactional and relationship models) was developed under his direct leadership and remains a crucial part of Lenovo business to this day.
Mr. Liu hold a bachelor’s degree in automation and an EMBA, both from Tsinghua University. He also completed executive programs at Harvard and Stanford universities.
Ken Wong is Senior Vice President and President of Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group, leading the company’s business worldwide in smart verticals, attached services, managed services and “as a service” offerings including Device-as-a-Service and Truscale™.
Prior to this role, he led Lenovo Asia Pacific PCs and Smart Devices for five years, where he grew the business to the #1 position. Additionally, from 2016 to early 2021 he was Chairman of NEC Lenovo Japan Group, and from 2018 to early 2021 he was Chairman of Fujitsu Client Computing Limited, where he remains a member of the Board of Directors. Previously, he was responsible for driving the development and implementation of Lenovo’s global corporate strategy, reporting directly to company CEO and Chairman Yang Yuanqing.
In the last two decades in the technology sector, he has built up extensive experience in several core aspects of business strategy and operations, spanning product operations, services, sales and marketing. He also has a successful track record in managing complex geographies, having served in leadership roles at global, regional and market levels across Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (MEA) and Latin America. Before joining Lenovo, he spent a decade with IBM, moving to Lenovo with its purchase of IBM’s PC division in 2005.
He graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a bachelor of engineering in computer science, and also holds an Executive MBA jointly awarded by The University of Hong Kong, Columbia University and the London Business School. He is based in Hong Kong, where he lives with his wife, daughter and son, while enjoying golf and mixed martial arts in his leisure time.
Luca Rossi joined Lenovo in 2015 and is now Senior Vice President of Lenovo and President of the Intelligent Devices Group (IDG), where he oversees Lenovo’s global business in PCs, smartphones, tablets, workstations and other products.
Prior to his current role, Luca served as President of the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) geographies, leading the PC, smartphone, tablet and server businesses. Before that, he led only the LATAM geography before having the scope of his role extended to EMEA.
Before joining Lenovo, he served as President of EMEA for Acer. Before that his career at Acer included roles leading the Packard Bell business, the consumer business, and the entire product business.
Before that, he held a number of roles with Asus, culminating in General Manager for Asus Europe.
He started his career as a 19-year-old entrepreneur setting up an Italian systems integrator under the Geo Microsystems brand.
Laura Quatela, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, joined the company in 2016 and is responsible for Lenovo’s overall legal strategy.
Before Lenovo, she co-founded a global consulting firm in 2014 to help clients leverage intellectual property assets and organizations, and make more informed technology investment decisions. Among her roles, she served as executive vice president of intellectual property for Alcatel-Lucent SA, reporting to the CEO, and was responsible for leading the company’s efforts to monetize its patent portfolio.
Previously, she was President of Eastman Kodak, where she held various leadership positions. In 2004, she oversaw the licensing of the company’s technology and patents, which generated more than $4 billion dollars. In 2008, she became Kodak’s first Chief Intellectual Property Officer, a role she retained when named the company’s General Counsel in 2011. She also served as co-COO in 2012.
Currently, she also serves on the board of directors of Technicolor SA, where she chairs the strategy committee.
Lan Ye is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo’s Data Intelligence Business Group, responsible for enabling intelligent transformation and delivering intelligent manufacturing solutions in business verticals —especially in upgrading smart manufacturing.
Previously, Lan Ye was the Executive Vice President of JD.com, where he served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Public Affairs Officer. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Officer of Founder Technology Group Corporation.
Before this, Mr. Lan was a Lenovo veteran, joining in 1993 and spending 15 years in several management positions. As Vice President for the China Geo, he managed the overall sales business and made outstanding contributions to Lenovo’s rapid development in China.
Lan Ye holds an EMBA degree from Tsinghua University.
As the leader of Lenovo’s International Sales Organization (ISO) Matt Zielinski is responsible for driving revenue and profit growth across all Lenovo businesses while reinforcing a customer-centric culture. He leads the ISO geographies, namely Asia Pacific, Japan, EMEA, Latin America and North America. He is also a member of Lenovo’s Executive Committee and serves on the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Board.
Prior to leading the ISO, he served as the President of the North America Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) since 2018 where he was responsible for sales, daily operations, growth and profitability for the United States and Canada. The business closed its strongest year ever in fiscal 2020 with records in PC market share, shipments, revenue, and profit. Other tenure highlights include Lenovo reaching #1 in PC share in Canada four times and #2 in the U.S. consumer market for the first time, in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20). The record-setting FY20 results followed what was previously the North America Internet Devices Group organization’s best-ever year in FY19.
Prior to joining Lenovo in February 2018, he was the Corporate Vice President and General Manager, head of worldwide OEM sales at AMD. He was responsible for leading AMD’s end-to-end efforts for all strategic OEMs, as well as global responsibility for end-user sales through all consumer and commercial routes to market.
He spent more than twelve years at AMD, holding several key global sales roles. Earlier in his career, he also held various sales positions at Infineon Technologies and Sun Microsystems.
He holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and lives in Austin, TX with his family. He serves on the board of NAF, a national network of education, business, and community leaders working together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready.
Doug Fisher is the Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer of Lenovo, assuming the role in 2020. As Chief Security Officer, he has worldwide responsibility and oversight for the integrity of Lenovo’s supply chain, products, services and solutions, and data protection.
Fisher is a proven leader with deep relationships across the technology industry with recognized enterprise software expertise. Before assuming his current role, he was Chief Operating Officer for Lenovo’s Data Center Group. He had responsibility for all DCG business segments and driving greater alignment across product management, operations, solutions, and product marketing.
Before joining Lenovo, he worked at Intel for 24 years where he was most recently Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Software and Services Group (SSG). He had responsibility for platform software development worldwide with resources in more than 20 countries, driving key SW efforts end-to-end for all of Intel’s IoT, PC and Data Center businesses.
He is currently chairman of the board of the Joint Development Foundation and is a member of the Oregon State University Dean’s Leadership Council in the College of Engineering. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Linux Foundation, Board of BlueData, and was a board member for Wind River Systems.
He began his career at age 17 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in Management from Stanford University.
