ThinkShield self-healing BIOS is available as a built-in security feature on commercial devices. Firmware vulnerability scanning is available via Firmware Resilience 2.0, available on most platforms.
ThinkShield offers Secure Endpoint Management (via Absolute) to give IT teams live, tamper-proof insights into device status, software health, and compliance gaps. Lenovo Device Orchestration is a cloud-based endpoint management solution that simplifies device and app management for IT admins.
ThinkShield integrates AI-powered extended detection and response (XDR) via SentinelOne to protect endpoints, cloud services, and networks in distributed environments. Secure Endpoint Management (Absolute), Secure VPN, and Multifactor Authentication (via Secret Double Octopus) protect against unsafe networks and visual hacking in public spaces.
ThinkShield provides encryption, access control, audit logs, and real-time compliance monitoring through Absolute’s firmware-embedded endpoint intelligence. It complies with NIST 800-193 (guidelines mandating firmware resiliency, including protection, detection, and recovery mechanisms), US Executive Order 13694 (supply chain risk transparency), EO 14144 (continuous diagnostics and mitigation), FIPS 140-3, EO 13694 (traceability), and CISA’s supply chain risk guidelines. ThinkShield Build Assure follows NIST 1800-34 (validating integrity of computing devices) and NIST 800-161r1 (supply chain risk management practices).
ThinkShield XDR (partnership with SentinelOne) uses AI to automate threat detection, containment, and remediation, reducing response time and minimizing damage. ThinkShield also offers backup and recovery tools, rollback features, remote wipe and lock capabilities, and automated remediation workflows. Self-healing BIOS and rollback features allow devices to restore to a trusted state.
ThinkShield uses behavioral analytics, role-based access control, and endpoint monitoring to detect insider threats. ThinkShield XDR (via SentinelOne) detects and informs about threats in real time.
