Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Our diversity is one of our biggest strengths. We seek to increase that strength, not only by increasing our metrics, but simultaneously fostering a collective sense of inclusion, belonging, and acceptance.
We are able to sustain employees with a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences in a number of ways, including through our:
- Code of Conduct
- Office of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I)
- Commitment to Others

At Lenovo, everyone is treated and rewarded equally by their qualifications, demonstrated skills, and achievements—without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by local law.
Our Employee Code of Conduct (the Code) is the cornerstone of our commitment to conducting business legally, ethically and with integrity. It sets out our values that define the way we do business. To learn more, download our Code of Conduct here.
Office of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I)
To help support building a more diverse and inclusive Lenovo, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) reports on progress each year across a variety of global programs, such as recruitment, executive development, and training and development. The Office of D&I also meets with Lenovo’s top executives to discuss its findings, including gap identification, recommended solutions, and quarterly monitoring results.
In addition to these initiatives, Lenovo leverages several different global learning mechanisms to advance inclusive leadership behaviors. Our online platform provides various tools and courses in eight different languages. Solutions include topics on leading diverse teams, managing diversity and inclusion, emotional intelligence, and managing different generations.
These efforts are now being recognized. In 2017/18, we were included in the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers, 100 Best Companies for Dads, 50 Best Companies for New Dads and received a second perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, which measures inclusive policies, practices, and procedures for LGBTQ employees.
