Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is one of Lenovo's greatest strengths. With roots in the East and the West, Lenovo is a uniquely polycentric business. We have leaders from around the world who are located across the globe; a diverse talent pool; a deep commitment to innovation; and a far-reaching mindset that's fueled by a sense of our long-term responsibility.

As a global technology leader, Lenovo touches the lives of millions of people from all walks of life, from the talent that we employ around the world, to the solutions and experiences we deliver to our customers. At the forefront of the next wave of technological innovation, we are ushering in an era of Intelligent Transformation, where big data, 5G, mobile, smart devices, and AI harness the power of technology to deliver new structures for how we live, work, and play. In an ever-changing and increasingly-diversified world, technology serves as the great equalizer, bringing the power of better opportunity, greater connectivity, and the ability to transcend historic and cultural limitations to citizens in all corners of the world.

We call this Inclusive Transformation.

We believe that technology companies have a profound capability and responsibility to champion diversity and inclusion, not only in the products and services we provide, but also in the values and practices we employ internally. Innovating for a diverse world requires a diversity of perspective - as such, diversity is a business imperative at Lenovo, and ensures that we not only capture the best, disruptive ideas, but also allows us to better understand and address our customers’ needs. From our earliest days, we have embraced a global mindset, blending two distinct cultures of East and West into one company, and integrating the businesses into a multi-headquarter operational model that allows us to centralize processes and platforms, while enabling local flexibility.

Lenovo has always pursued a path of inclusion and we’ve built a culture where all can belong. There are 20 different nationalities represented among our top 100 executives, and women make up 35% of our global workforce of more than 54,000 employees worldwide. But our work is not done. With new research, data, and insights, we continue to evolve our approach of building inclusive leadership behaviors and fostering diverse and inclusive systems through increased accountability and training.

Our goal is simple: people should longer have to change themselves to fit the world. Instead, the world will change to fit its people – all of its people. Technology can and should be a positive catalyst for change and evolution, and Lenovo is channeling this capability to build a smarter future, where everyone thrives, together.
