Lenovo’s Supplier Diversity program is designed to provide opportunities for the following certified and/or verified small and diverse businesses:
- Women-owned businesses (WBE)
- Minority-owned businesses (MBE)
- Veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (VOBE & SDVOBE)
- Persons with disability-owned businesses (PWD)
- Small businesses (SB)
- Small HUBZone businesses (HUBZone)
- Small disadvantaged businesses (SDB)
To qualify as a woman-owned business, company must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more U.S. citizens who are women.
To qualify as a minority-owned business, company must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more U.S. citizens from any of the following ethnic groups: Asian American, Black or African American, Hispanic American, or Native American.
To qualify as a veteran-owned or service-disabled veteran-owned business, company must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more U.S. citizens who are veterans or service-disabled veterans.
To qualify as a persons with disability-owned business, company must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more U.S. citizens who are persons with disabilities.
To qualify as a small business, company must qualify as a small business under the Federal criteria and size standards in 13 CFR 121 (see FAR 19.1). Click here for details.
To qualify as a small HUBZone business, company must be located in a Historically Underutilized Business district and certified by the Small Business Association. Click here for details.
To qualify as a small disadvantaged business, company must qualify as a small business (defined above) and be at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged. Click here for details.
Certifications and Verifications Accepted
- Women-owned businesses: Women Business Enterprise National Council
- Minority-owned businesses: National Minority Supplier Development Council
- Veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses: Department of Veterans Affairs or National Veteran-owned Business Association
- Persons with disability-owned businesses: US Business Leadership Network
- Small Businesses: Registration in the Federal System for Award Management or self-certification, if requested.
- Small HUBZone businesses: Small Business Administration
- Small disadvantaged businesses: Registration in the Federal System for Award Management or self-certification, if requested.
Lenovo also accepts certification by state agencies and entities, such as the North Carolina Department of Administration (NC HUB Certification).
