Continuous research and development into improved product designs has played a key role in the growth of Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (XCMG). But with researchers running more intensive simulation workloads than ever, the company’s high-performance computing (HPC) cluster was struggling to cope with demand.

To increase performance, XCMG Research Institute built a new HPC environment based on Lenovo ThinkSystem servers powered by 2nd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. With the Lenovo solutions, the company has accelerated research work, helping to bring new equipment to market sooner.
