Enhancing healthcare services in rural communities

To enhance the quality of healthcare services in rural areas, Ning'er County People's Hospital a general public hospital in Yunnan Province, China sought an infrastructure provider capable of delivering end to end pre sales planning, installation and deployment, and after sales support to ensure that its core systems meet the medical data standards set by the National Health Commission. A lack of local expertise meant that the IT team struggled to upgrade the infrastructure.

Since 2018, Ning’er County People’s Hospital has worked with Lenovo to transform its IT, gradually replacing its outdated technologies with an active active private cloud platform based on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 servers and NetApp FAS8200 Hybrid Flash System storage. This platform is used to store, manage, and protect large amounts of data generated by core medical applications including the hospital’s Oracle Database and picture archiving and communication system (PACS), helping to ensure 24/7 availability of high quality medical services for the people of Ning’er County.
