Treating more patients in a COVID surge

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University set up a temporary field hospital—Nanjing Qingao Shelter Hospital—to cope with any surge in cases at any time, providing 700 extra beds and a PCR testing lab. The hospital worked with trusted partner Lenovo to get the technology needed to support this extraordinary venture in place in just days. Lenovo ThinkAgile VX Series hyperconverged appliances and ThinkSystem storage are used to run an extension of the hospital information system (HIS) for the field hospital, adding critical care capacity for COVID patients.
