Located in Jiangxi Province, China, Gaoan People’s Hospital embraces digital innovation to improve patient care and support research. In recent years, the hospital has built a core ecosystem of applications for managing patient records, healthcare information, laboratory data, and medical images. When the infrastructure supporting these critical systems started to suffer from performance bottlenecks and downtime, the hospital adopted a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) based on 12 Lenovo ThinkAgile HX3320 and HX5520 appliances with Nutanix Cloud Platform.

The hospital worked with Lenovo Services to design the solution to meet its unique requirements. Deployed across multiple locations in an active active configuration, the solution improves data availability and safeguards business continuity. The hospital has also achieved a 100% performance increase, accelerating access to key information. Furthermore, the HCI platform halves data center floorspace requirements, reducing power and cooling costs, and simplifying maintenance workloads.
