East-West Gate Intermodal Terminal (EWG) serves as a dry port for intermodal transport between the EU and China. To support everything from gate automation and camera systems to customs and clearance applications, EWG set out to build a robust, reliable data center infrastructure.

After evaluating solutions from leading vendors, EWG teamed up with Lenovo and Kontron Hungary Kft to kit out its brand-new data center with high-performance Lenovo ThinkSystem servers, storage, and networking.

By partnering with Lenovo, EWG was able to procure and install the equipment in just three months at the height of the COVID disruption. Today,
EWG has a rock-solid infrastructure it can rely on to keep operations— and freight—on track.
