Yes nice to have when you are managing a corp fleet but for consumer laptops its not really as needed when tech support can be done over Quick assist etc. Then look at the spectre and meltdown flaws. It’s so integrated it hobbles the chip when patched. The other problem is who’s going to build a Chip that is secure by design and is at parity with the current mainstream chips.

The only real way to get away from these is to use Chinese-designed chips (and probably get a Chinese government backdoor).
