Lenovo Battery Declaration of Conformity (DoC)

Lithium batteries are subject to a number of transportation regulations for all modes of transportation both in the United States and globally. Regulatory agencies governing the transportation of these batteries include the US Department of Transportation, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Maritime Organization (IMO).

The Lenovo Battery Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is a document that confirms Lenovo’s conformance to US and WW transportation requirements. The Lenovo Battery DoC lists the applicable preconditions, testing and the regulations assessed for compliance.

This Battery Declaration of Conformity (DoC) confirms all our notebook battery packs (e.g., ThinkPad, IdeaPad) meet IATA and UN transportation requirements. We routinely provide this documentation to customers to satisfy battery shipment/transportation info requirements and it's been accepted by UPS, FedEx and many other transportation entities.

Specific battery Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and test certificates are available from the Lenovo Regulatory Compliance Department upon request (e-mail compliance@Lenovo.com and include your battery part number).

Additional information about batteries is available at www.lenovo.com/support/batteries.
