ThinkPad Protection gives you the peace of mind to know that you're protected from drops, minor spills, integrated screen damage, electrical surges and other unexpected events incurred under normal operating conditions.

Why ThinkPad Protection?

  What’s covered?
  • • Operational or structural failures under normal operating conditions or handling
  • • Minor liquid spills
  • • Unintentional drops and bumps
  • • Damage from electrical surges

What’s not covered?

  • • Cosmetic damage and damage from intentional misuse or failure to follow manufacturer's recommended care and use.
  • •  Theft or loss.
  • • External peripherals, consumable parts, removal or alteration of parts, accessories, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, digital pen, folio, cradle, power adapters.
  • • Third-party products (even if sold by Lenovo).
  • •  Battery and battery chassis**.
  • • Fraud, fire, theft, misuse, abuse, or willful act.
  • • Data, business interruptions, obsolescence, rust, change in color, texture or finish, wear and tear.

For Lenovo ThinkPad Tablets, repair is limited to one service "event" per year with one replacement (if needed) allowed over the lifetime of the tablet.
ThinkPad Protection must be purchased within 90 days of the purchase of your new ThinkPad and your service term begins concurrently with the product warranty.

ThinkPad Protection availability.
The accidental damage protection services from Lenovo are enabled in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France (excludes overseas territories and dependencies), Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK (mainland only).

ThinkPad Protection is a depot/customer carry-in repair provided service.
