More than 30,000 pieces of equipment including Lenovo desktop and notebook PCs, monitors and servers supported the Olympic Games. This hardware managed virtually every aspect of the Games, from gathering and storing participant data to displaying the scores. Lenovo equipment supported 56 venues across seven cities for the Beijing Games.

Technology team
The technology team included experts who managed Lenovo's successful support of the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games and additional technicians from around the company. Implementation of the technology system occurred literally overnight – and the team had spent two years testing and integrating to ensure all was ready for August 8, 2008. |

Internet lounges
Internet Lounges supported athletes and showcased Lenovo products and services. Six Internet Lounges were built in the Athlete Villages where athletes were able to communicate with friends and family from around the world. National Organizing Committees and sponsor partners had Lenovo Internet Lounges at their headquarter locations on-site as well. |
