Lenovo and ReasonNet Announce Partnership for Hosted Servers
Amsterdam – June 30th, 2009 – ReasonNet, a professional hosting provider with a global network and a datacenter in Amsterdam, has announced an exciting partnership with Lenovo. The partnership will see the ReasonNet data centre house several thousand servers as well as providing turnkey solutions to small and medium sized clients in the Benelux who wish to outsource their IT requirements.
In order to select the right partner for the service ReasonNet performed extensive benchmark research with all main server providers, focusing on performance, engineering, usability, and energy efficiency. Lenovo proved to be the strongest partner in all areas. ReasonNet is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and operations in an environmentally responsible way. The unique Zone Cooling technology and the RoHS certification of all ThinkServers was yet another compelling reason to select Lenovo.
Joris Kroese, Director Sales and Business Development of ReasonNet says: “The Lenovo ThinkServer test results confirmed its status as ideal, not just for our data centre, but as part of ReasonNet’s turnkey solution designed for small and medium sized organizations who are looking to outsource and demand reliable management of their IT infrastructure in the Benelux region. This combined with the fact that both companies are equally committed to working in the greenest way possible makes this partnership a perfect fit.”
Simon Kent, Lenovo Server Leader mid Market EMEA named ReasonNet as their preferred hosting partner in the Benelux. He says: “With this deal, ReasonNet is combining their high standard of service with Lenovo’s proven rock solid technology for their new high density data centre. The main areas Lenovo excels in – higher performance, higher energy efficiency, ease of use and Virtualization readiness – will help ReasonNet set themselves apart from the competition.”
To kick off the turnkey solution ReasonNet is offering a limited time offer in which the setup costs of a new server (normally 450 EURO) are not charged. This is to celebrate the partnership and to erase the upfront investment that is usually required when buying servers or when having them setup elsewhere. Small and medium sized companies may be experiencing difficulties having their ICT equipment financed in the current economic environment. For further details on this limited offer please visit www.co-locate.nl (co-Locate BV, a division within the ReasonNet group, offers added value to the ReasonNet wholesale activities by providing turn-key ISP solutions to end users)
Located in Amsterdam, ReasonNet operates an international network with physical presence on all major exchanges in the world. As of May 2009, ReasonNet shall open it’s own high density data centre in addition to their existing data centre from which they shall house up to 45.000 servers. ReasonNet has a 24/7 operated Network Operation Centre with Lenovo spare parts on stock and certified engineers standby to guaranty the highest service levels available in the market.
