Lenovo is Vista Ready

Sydney, November 30, 2006 - Following today’s launch of Microsoft Vista for Australian businesses, Lenovo is pleased to confirm its most popular ThinkPad and Lenovo 3000 family of notebooks and desktops are Vista Capable.

Frank Luburic, senior ThinkPad product manager, said today, “The new Microsoft Vista operating system delivers improvements to the user interface, quick search, security and privacy, and improved system performance.”

“The new Vista operating system and Lenovo’s ThinkVantage Technologies on a ThinkPad or Lenovo 3000 make a powerful combination of hardware and software. IT staff will have better tools and technologies to improve PC management and support,” he said.

Lenovo first announced its Vista upgrade program in October, which includes free Vista upgrades from Windows XP to eligible customers. ( http://www.pc.ibm.com/nz/microsoft/vista/upgrade.html ).
