Lenovo expands presence in gujarat with 100 exclusive stores

Offers stylish performance machines to mark a new era in thin and light computing for consumers in the state

Ahmedabad, August 24, 2012 – Lenovo, India’s No. 1 PC maker (according to the IDC/Asia Pacific Quarterly PC Tracker Q2 CY 2012), today announced the launch of its landmark 100th store in the state of Gujarat. This achievement is in tandem with its master plan to build a pan India retail infrastructure and drive hyper growth in the overall PC market. With a presence of over 1000 exclusive retail stores in India, Lenovo reinforces the company’s strategy to enable the availability of PCs beyond the metros in India.

Speaking on the milestone, Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India said, “The launch of the 100th store in Gujarat comes at an opportune time when Lenovo has been declared the Number 1 PC maker for two straight quarters in India. Currently, Lenovo has a strong footprint of 13 exclusive stores in Ahmedabad, which are part of the 100 exclusive stores in Gujarat. Lenovo has exclusively partnered with ECS for the 100th store that is also its flagship outlet. Spread across 2800 sq ft, the store is located at Mondeal Retail Park, 1st Block, Nera Rajpath Club, SG Highway, Ahmedabad. Lenovo has plans to be present in the city’s leading malls as well, going forward.

Lenovo has plans to build a strong retail network through its existing partners namely ECS, Aegis, Delta and Media House, amongst others. The stores are located at Gujarat’s prime locations such as Jamnagar, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Baruch, Kalol, Ankleshwar, Junagadh and Bhavnagar. Spread across 250 - 300sq feet, they provide a complete brand experience offering a range of Lenovo products including notebooks, netbooks, All-in-Ones and ultrabooks. Some of the key products include: Lenovo IdeaPad Z580, Lenovo IdeaPad G580, Lenovo IdeaCentre A720, Lenovo IdeaCentre B320, Lenovo IdeaCentre C320, S series, tablets and ultrabooks – U310 and U410.
