– Lenovo Hong Kong today unveiled the Lenovo 3000 Q series desktop PCs that mark the arrival of true home audio visual entertainment PCs. The new PCs feature a sophisticated multimedia and computing experience, yet are intuitive enough to be operated by users of all ages. With innovative features such as the Digital Media Platform, the Lenovo 3000 Q is the latest in a long line of Lenovo engineering successes. Lenovo secured the number one* home PC vendor position in Hong Kong in the third quarter of 2006, according to IDC.
Designed for every family member, the Lenovo 3000 Q is built with simplicity in mind. The PC features the exclusive “One Touch On” button that lets users effortlessly switch between movies, TV, music and photo albums without booting Windows, which allows them to enjoy multimedia content instantly. Users can easily add new photos to the album by reading new photos from the memory card through the built-in 8-in-1 card reader.
The exclusive Lenovo Embedded Operating System (LEOS) also allows users start and diagnose their PC even when it is unable to boot up. They can also recover Lenovo 3000 Q to its last backed-up state using simple One Touch Recovery. Bundled software and drivers are preinstalled so that users can access applications such as anti-virus immediately without searching for setup CDs.

Analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has confirmed that Lenovo is Hong Kong’s leading consumer desktop vendor in the third quarter of 2006, capturing a 21.2 percent market share in Q3 2006, 1.4 percentage points higher than the second-placed vendor, according to the IDC Asia/Pacific Quarterly PC Tracker, 3Q06. Compared to the second quarter, Lenovo’s consumer desktop market share grew by 10.2 percentage points, and year-on-year Lenovo’s market share increased by 5.4 points.
Lenovo led Hong Kong's total PC market in the third quarter of 2006, while its ThinkPad has been the number one ranked notebook in Hong Kong since 1998*.
