Lenovo teams with Ronaldinho to fundraise for Make-A-Wish


Sydney – November 27, 2006 - Lenovo is supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Signature of Sydney gala event silent auction on December 12 with the donation of a Lenovo 3000 series laptop that has been personally signed by international soccer legend, Ronaldinho.

The Ronaldinho laptop for Make-A-Wish in Australia is one of only 16 Lenovo 3000 series laptops signed by the two time winner of the FIFA Player of the Year Award (2004/2005). All 16 are being auctioned for charities around the world by Lenovo in December. 100 percent of proceeds from the silent auction winning bid will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation which has granted wishes to over 4,000 children and young people with a life-threatening illness across Australia. Lenovo Australia is also offering 15 percent discounts to guests at the event and Make-A-Wish Foundation supporters on all Lenovo products in December, including ThinkPad and Lenovo 3000 computers, PC accessories such as web-cams and speakers, or laptop carry bags. The aim of the high-profile Signature of Sydney Series is to create an artistic new iconic landmark for Sydney. A $150,000 prize will be awarded to the winning artist on the night, $20,000 to the first runner up and $10,000 to the second. Original artwork of the three winning pieces will be auctioned during the evening, followed by a silent auction of assorted aspirational items such as the Lenovo 3000 Ronaldinho laptop.

The gala event is being held at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel on 12th December from 6.30pm. Cost is $125 per ticket (excluding GST).
