Lenovo Brings Stylish Design to Dual-Core with Lenovo 3000 N100 Widescreen

Sydney, September 22, 2006 - Lenovo today announced the company’s first Lenovo-branded PC to feature Intel® Core™2Duo, the Lenovo N100 widescreen notebook PC. Featuring such innovations in PC technology as next-generation WiFi connectivity, new multimedia features, the latest Intel® Core™2Duo processor, Vista-ready capabilities and industry-leading system support, the N100 is a PC engineered specifically for small business customers.

The N100 includes more embedded wireless and multimedia features such as a widescreen design for the ultimate PC connectivity and viewing experience. The N100 is also equipped with a 15.4-inch (1) VibrantView LCD that deliver sharp contrast, crisp images, increased colour depth and wider viewing angles. VibrantView also optimizes the multimedia experience by enabling users to view high-end graphic and video content in lowly lit environments.

“With the new Lenovo N100 we are able to offer small business customers a system with more power that is just as easy-to-use as the original,” said Frank Luburic, Senior ThinkPad Product Manager, Lenovo Australia and New Zealand. “With the increased performance of Intel's latest processors, better wireless connectivity and Vista upgradeability, the new N100 combines great value and the latest features, to give our customers a worry-free computing experience.”

For power-efficient mobile dual core performance, Lenovo has also increased the performance of the N100 by including Intel Core2Duo (64bit) and Intel Celeron M processors, which allow customers to run multiple programs simultaneously – such as business applications while conducting virus scans in the background – much more efficiently.

The Lenovo N100 helps to automate many routine security and maintenance tasks though a unique suite of Lenovo Care productivity tools. Lenovo Care tools including: • A one-button system recovery to help users diagnose, get help, and recover systems to a previously saved state following catastrophic software failures caused by today’s viruses and malware • Automatic updates that download and install critical updates for Lenovo software on a user-configured schedule to help keep the system operating at peak performance • Easy connectivity for simple wired or wireless set up for home office, office and leisure connections.
