Q11. Lenovo is an unknown brand name to me. What does this new product line offer me over other familiar vendors, like Dell or Acer?
Lenovo is now the third largest PC maker in the world, and has been rated the #1 PC vendor for 8 consecutive years in China, where they currently have 30% market share.
Lenovo acquired the IBM PC division in May 2005, and continues to have the strong backing by IBM who provides its award-winning service and support team and experienced sales staff to Lenovo customers. The Lenovo 3000 product line offers small business customers, very small businesses and individuals, new innovative and stylish designs at an exceptional value.

Each machine will appeal to a different type of small business owner. The ThinkPad Z60 will appeal to small businesses looking for the ultimate business tool – a PC with advanced security features; durability innovations such as Active Protection System, the ThinkPad roll cage, and a titanium cover; and new connectivity features such as WWAN. A critical success factor of our overall channel strategy is the breadth of our product portfolio, and the launch of the Lenovo 3000 product line will give us the opportunity to reach a much broader market through the channel network.
Our channel partners who sell to the small and very small business market are in need of products that hold the same attributes as the Lenovo 3000 line: value for your money, worry-free computing and stylish designs.
The value that the Lenovo 3000 product line brings to the small and very small business market enables us to approach our channel strategy in an innovative way.
