Ultraportables for The Executive on the Move
ThinkPad X Series notebooks put the ultra in ultraportable. They're designed for maximum portability and light weight with no trade-off in usability or durability. |
'Lighter than Air'
The X200 starts at just 1.34kg. The X61s starts at only 1.23kg. The
X300 – including the DVD burner – is just 1.41 kg. |
Small footprint
X Series notebooks fit easily at crowded tables, on airline trays and other tight spaces. X61/X61s is an amazing 267mm wide by 210mm deep while the new X200 is 295mm by 210mm deep. |
Big work space
The packages are small but the displays are not. X200 gives you a 12.1" widescreen. X300 offers a 13" widescreen – huge for such a lightweight system. X61/X61s offer a 12" standard. |
| The ThinkPad X300 extends Lenovo mobile innovation with a super-thin DVD burner. It makes the X300 the rare ultraportable with an integrated optical drive and helps keep the system profile to an astounding 19mm. The slim LED backlight display helps, too, and should ease eye strain when working long hours. |

Extra long battery life |
ThinkPad X Series offers all-day computing, with battery life up to 12-plus hours (depending on configuration). How? Custom Lenovo power management features plus carefully selected low-voltage processors and, on the new X200 and X300, new Solid State Drives with no moving parts. And X Series always offers the latest battery technology, for example the new Lithium-Polymer units which store more energy in a smaller space.
| ThinkPad X200 |
3.1 hrs. to 9.8 hrs. |
| ThinkPad X61s |
3.1 hrs. to 12.5 hrs. |
| ThinkPad X300 |
4.3 hrs. to 10.0 hrs. |
| ThinkPad X61 |
3.9 hrs. to 10.7 hrs. |
| |
X Series models come with Lenovo Battery Stretch, a new feature of Power Manager that lets you make temporary selections in extreme situations to extend battery life beyond what your regular Power Manager settings might produce.

Durability
On-the-go people sometimes put themselves – and
their notebooks – into risky situations. X Series notebooks are tough enough to take it.
On the X300, next-generation ThinkPad "roll cage" technology uses a combination carbon-fiber/ glass-fiber top cover (similar to the bodies of the latest jet airplanes and Formula 1 race cars) for added strength and even less weight.
And on the new X200, a magnesium-alloy roll cage in the top and bottom cover helps to protect your system against flexing, impacts, and accidental drops.
