ThinkPad T Series Lenovo's flagship notebook series continues a legendary tradition with the new ThinkPad T61. ThinkPad T61 models offer quality, reliability and security, combining the best of performance and portability.

Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology on new ThinkPad T61 models — including the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor — can deliver a wide variety of benefits, including true parallel processing when running multi-threaded applications or multiple applications simultaneously. The result: improved performance, enhanced manageability, power-saving features and extended connectivity options. Intel® Centrino® Pro processor technology is available on select T61 models, delivering hardware-based security and enhanced manageability along with exceptional performance and outstanding mobility.

ThinkPad T Series gives you the choice of 14.1" or 15.4" widescreen or 14.1" standard displays. The new T61 14.1" widescreen provides enhanced mobility in a 5.0 kg, 1.1" thin design. The T61 14.1" standard model starts at 5.24 kg. and 1.1" thin, while the 15.4" widescreen starts at 5.7 kg and 1.13". Intel® GMA X3100 integrated graphics are standard, and for the latest in mobile graphics performance the T61 also offers new NVIDIA graphics chipsets.

ThinkPad T61 is the strongest, coolest, quietest and most secure T Series ThinkPad ever:

  • The ThinkPad Roll Cage, shock mounted hard drive, and new Top Cover Roll Cage combine for improved strength, durability and reliability.
  • A new cooling system, larger vents, and more efficient fans make the T61 run cooler and quieter than earlier models.
  • Security is better than ever with available Full Disc Encryption hard drives. And standard across all ThinkPad T Series models are the TPM hardware chip and Client Security Solution software, which integrate nicely with the optional integrated fingerprint reader.
