Evernote for Android gets fresh UI

Evernote®, the popular note-taking and archiving software, recently got a significant overhaul for Android™ tablet computers, introducing a completely revamped interface and list view, among other changes.

The big change for Evernote 4.1 is the interface update, which is much cleaner and simpler than previous iterations. Evernote has refreshed its home screen and introduced a new "swipe" feature that allows the user to navigate more easily between panel slides and note lists. These note lists have also been updated with a new thumbnail shape and better text contrast for legibility.

One change that is likely to please Android users is the addition of List View, which provides a compact note list that shows users the basic information. The idea here is to provide the user a more efficient way of navigating his or her lists without having to look at the content in its entirety.

This is one of a few major updates that Evernote has rolled out for Android devices in recent months. In March, the application got a big upgrade with the addition of speech-to-text capabilities and new widget features. Evernote has encouraged users to provide feedback for the new updates in an effort to continue responding to demand.
