Students especially benefit from access to hosted services and systems that can help them manage a busy workload and complete their coursework much more efficiently than ever before. Cloud storage can be highly beneficial to modern college students. Given that the average student may be using multiple devices at any time -- including a laptop, smartphone and perhaps a tablet computer -- storing all of the classwork and documents in one place can make the process much simpler. Though they may not realize it, most college students access the cloud on a daily basis through their email platform. Whether they have Google's Gmail™ or a webmail client provided through the school, chances are good that the platforms are hosted in the cloud and messages are stored remotely. Online document management could add another layer to student organizational habits. The capabilities of these tools could be especially helpful to groups of students working together on a project, as all will enjoy access to the same information. |
